West Hollywood glamour comes to Melbourne for this year’s BMW Caulfield Cup Carnival, as homegrown DJ turned LA empresario Grant Smillie brings a pop-up version of his LA hotspot E.P. & L.P. trackside. And that’s just the start of the fabulous feast of food, fashion and fun at Caulfield this year.

Food & Drink

The E.P & L.P. Deck in the VIP Heath Enclosure will be home to luxe libations and killer beats. The pop-up version of Grant Smillie’s night spot has a menu curated by executive chef Louis Tikaram featuring Fijian-style kingfish ceviche, complemented by famous E.P & L.P. cocktails.

Also in the Heath Enclosure will be restaurateur Teage Ezard, offering a decadent four-course banquet of signature dishes, including mezcal-cured salmon with black quinoa salad, matched with Coldstream Hills wines. Meanwhile, the European Group’s Ian Curley has prepared a six-course spring menu for the Black Caviar Restaurant, which will include a hot and cold assiette of Tasmanian oysters.

Julian Robertshaw will share his modern Australian cuisine with racegoers in The Promenade, Skyline Corporate Suites, Heath Enclosure and general admission areas.

The Moet & Chandon Lawn offers a fashion-inspired day, with a Tommy Collins grazing menu, live music and plenty of bubbles. In the centre of the racecourse, the Local marquee, will have everything people love about their local pub – great food, drinks and live entertainment.

For more trackside dining options, the Carlton Draught Front Bar features brewery-fresh tank beer and tasty eats from Biggie Smalls, Che and St Kilda Burger Bar.
