Baby sleep consultant and blogger Natalie Herman lives in Elsternwick with her husband, Anthony, and their four-year-old daughter Liele.

“I love everything about the suburb,” she says.

“The old-style architecture, the parks and the community environment.”

When not out exploring, Natalie helps families struggling with sleep deprivation through her baby sleep app.

“I wanted to create a community online that will allow parents to access information easily, especially those who can’t necessarily afford to pay for a sleep consultant,” she says.

Where do you go for a great cup of coffee?

The Pound in Elsternwick has great coffee and a nice relaxed atmosphere. I go there on the way to drop off my daughter to kindergarten.

For a special meal?

Coda in Flinders Lane is fantastic. I went for my birthday and had such a great time.

For a good night out?

I love the usual dinner and a movie combination. The Classic Cinema in Elsternwick is my favourite. It always shows really interesting movies, especially during the various festivals. It also has a great bar where you can get good snacks.

For a good book?

The Avenue Bookstore in Elsternwick. I tend to spend quite a bit of time just browsing around. The latest book that I bought was The Husband’s Secret. It was excellent.

For a new outfit?

I’d go to Country Road, Witchery or Trenery in Chadstone. I prefer to buy a few really good pieces and match them with jeans and boots.

For some peace and quiet?

The Lake House in Daylesford or Lorne Beach Pavilion for the weekend. Both have stunning views and excellent places to eat. I feel quite rejuvenated after only a few days there.
