Blackburn resident Stephanie Waters worked in corporate communications before launching online label Ballettonet in 2013. The label offers an affordable range of quality Italian-made shoes.
“My husband and I always wanted to start an online retailer,” Stephanie says. “During a trip to Italy, we discovered beautifully made leather ballet flats and began wondering why Australians were paying so much more for handcrafted shoes than people in Europe. That’s how it started.”
Through limited-edition collections, the label has collaborated with lifestyle blogger Erin Maxwell, fashion illustrator Kerrie Hess and Jasmin Howell of Friend in Fashion. You can see the latest range at Westfield Doncaster’s InHabit until August 22.
