Gone are the days where vegan style meant hemp jumpers and tie-dyed maxi skirts. With modern science allowing for all kinds of faux leather and fur, vegan products are more chic and stylish than ever.
We’ve found seven must-haves you can get here in Melbourne that allow you to stay on top of your fashion game while also being ethical.
Maeve Clutch by Scarlett Handbags, $45

Scarlett of Scarlett Handbags makes all of her designs out of polyurethane (PU) leather, and only 50 at a time to ensure production is less harmful to the environment.

Yes, you heard right – Tread & Pedals sells a range of cruelty free accessories made from pre-loved bikes. No birds harmed! Pick these ones up at Velvety Fashion.
Bike Tube Earrings off in the post today. Floaty and fun these feathered pretties (and flutterbys) are as light as a feather, super durable and cruelty free (no birds or butterflies were harmed in the making). Handcrafted in our little Melbourne upcycling studio from bike tubes that would otherwise end up in landfill, so you can feel extra righteous when rocking them. 😊
