It maybe the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, but wine lovers are being encouraged to spend a Weekend Fit for a King at this festival amongst King Valley’s wineries in Victoria’s High Country.
The Weekend Fit for a King is on June 10 and 11 and will offer festival-goers a taste of the new release wines from winemakers across the region including the Italian varietals best known in the King Valley – Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo.

And of course, what wine tasting weekend would be complete without an authentic Italian meal? Homemade dishes from old family recipes including farm-made sausages, warming stews, a feast of pasta and pizza and cannoli for those with a sweet tooth will feature throughout the festival.
Adding to the picturesque surrounds, King Valley Art Show will showcase works by local artists of the landscape in oils, ink or clay.
Entry to the festival is $25, which includes a souvenir tasting glass. Children play free.
