If you have ever wanted know what a MasterChef dessert tastes like, then here’s your chance Melburnians.
At the special pop up takeover, Cuvée Chocolate co-founder Deniz is offering his extravagant Passion for Caramel Tart – a creation that requires a 51 step process and three different types of caramel in its execution.
It is the difficult dish that sent Tamara Graffen packing in a recent MasterChef pressure test.
Thanks to the chocolate and peanut shelled tart, which Deniz says took around 45 attempts to perfect, he was named Savour Patissier of the Year in 2016.
He has also been awarded the number one chocolatier in Australia and Asia in 2012 and 2013 – so it’s a rare treat to be able to sample his passionfruit and lavender jam infused marvel.
Whole tarts will set you back $60 and smaller portions are available for $15. While you’re enjoying your dessert day out, try a specially designed pink moscato sorbet that pairs beautifully with Deniz’s caramel creation.
