It’s the day serious chocoholics have been waiting for all year – World Chocolate Day is upon us again, and there are some sweet reasons to celebrate.

South Melbourne dessert mecca Bibelot is going all out for the July 7 celebration. It will become a chocolate connoisseur’s heaven, offering a limited edition chocolate indulgent petit gateaux and a complete chocolate gourmandise board.

It’s also throwing a chocolate negroni cocktail and moreish hot chocolate into the mix, and will offer complimentary chocolate dipped cones from its infinity chocolate taps with every gelato purchase on July 7.

Wilson & Market, the latest venture from British chef Paul Wilson, is offering a wicked desert created in conjunction with Hunted + Gathered chocolate providores, who specialise in single origin organic fair trade chocolate from South America.

Available all day on July 7, the dish consists of three decadent desserts served at once. The first is a chocolate waffle doughnut with chestnuts chantilly, the second is spiced wine quinces with 70% cacao chocolate mousse and last, but not least, is a 24 carat gold leaf salted caramel chocolate nemesis.
