Carrington, a new boutique development of 50 residences, has been designed for luxury and liveability near the booming epicentre of Melbourne’s Chinese heartland – Box Hill.

Landream, the developer behind the recently approved Zaha Hadid-designed building in Collins Street, has partnered with award-winning Plus Architecture to deliver thoughtfully designed, high-quality residences offering refined prestige amid the rich culture and community of central Box Hill.

Sales agent Lachlan Castran says Box Hill is Melbourne’s fastest-growing activity centre outside the CBD, and its rapid population growth is increasing the desirability of living close to its restaurants, fresh food market and education, health and community amenities.

“Carrington is designed for natural tranquillity and offers a sense of balance to the intensity of Box Hill’s centre. It will be Box Hill’s most prestigious address. It’s bringing Toorak to Box Hill by setting a new benchmark in finish levels and sumptuous, efficient interiors,” Lachlan says.

“Every fitting, fixture and finish has been considered to satisfy discerning owner-occupiers. Purchasers to date are overwhelmingly owner-occupiers who recognise the quality of location, design and finishes.”

Carrington offers a choice of 50 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across its four storeys, all with private courtyards or balconies, secure basement parking and storage lockers.

Prices start from $375,000 for one-bedroom apartments, from $550,000 for two-bedroom layouts and from $820,000 for the three-bedroom residences. Additional car spaces and large storerooms are also available to buy.

Plus Architecture has designed a range of layouts to suit singles, couples, young families, multigenerational families and downsizers, some featuring integrated study desks and benches and island benches. Most two-bedroom layouts have a second bathroom.

Buyers have a choice of rose gold or gold interior schemes with European oak floorboards, wool-blend carpets, porcelain tiles, stone benchtops and marbled porcelain splashbacks, rich gold accents and timber and 2pac joinery.

The living areas and some bedrooms have full-height sliding windows to balconies or courtyards.

All apartments are doubled-glazed, have concealed heating and cooling to living areas and main bedrooms and have audiovisual intercoms for visitor access and security.

Construction of Carrington is scheduled to start by the end of this year, with completion anticipated in the first quarter of 2018.

The Atrium & Lobby

Carrington’s soaring light-filled double-height foyer has been designed to welcome residents home and as a place to meet visiting friends and family. At the heart of Carrington is a large finely manicured atrium garden with a building-height void above.

The Atrium is designed as a place of natural beauty and sanctuary for visual enjoyment. It will provide natural tranquillity to the building, filling common areas and homes with sunlight and providing residents with a lush green outlook.

Six one-bedroom apartments will directly overlook The Atrium and all residents will enjoy it from common areas.
