Along with her partner Aaron Gitlin and friend Sheehan Perera, Clifton Hill resident Amber Smith (centre) is in training for next month’s City2Sea for a very special reason. Just over a year ago Smith’s five-month-old nephew, Jack, died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and all three will run in honour of Jack and to raise money for SIDS and Kids. Smith says the death left a huge scar on the family and she hopes the money raised will help fund research to prevent further sudden deaths. The second annual Sunday Age City2Sea is on November 11.
