The pair plan to walk the 1600 kilometres of the world-famous Pacific Crest Trail in the United States. They will document their journey from beginning to end through their blog, Footprints for the Future, in a bid to raise money for the non-for-profit organisation Whitelion, which supports young people through role modelling, mentoring and employment programs.
The trip will be largely funded by Curnow and Dedman, with all donations going to Whitelion. The pair will negotiate the trail that extends through the glorious Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, King Canyon National Park and will conclude at Mount Whitney, the highest peak in continental United States at 4421 metres. To follow their journey, visit www.footprintsforthefuture.com
