I’ve always been utterly disinterested in busy people. Especially when you’re expected to hear about it. But right now I’m having one of those months myself.

A kindie dad and I have this ongoing conversation about the fact that we think we’re breeding a generation of little monsters.

Is it ok to rubbish someone if you use your nice voice? Is it possible to sugar-coat an insult?

Is there ever a time as a parent that you don’t stop worrying? In the course of a week I would have had at least half-a-dozen conversations with different parents about how worried they are about their kids.

We should have twigged when they first brought out waist-high jeans. But now, after spotting a line of bum-jumpers last week at Chadstone, I think it’s official. Early ’90s fashion is back.
