4. Apom

The Carlisle Street boutique combines ethically sourced materials and local designs with a penchant for prints. APOM – or A Part of Me – is the brainchild of fashion designers and friends Kajsa Kvernmo and Kate Brook. Ensuring their designs are brought to life by ethically certified manufacturers is as important as ensuring they’re in style; this really is clothing with a conscience.

7. Kennedy Lane

Queenslander Sally Lane opened her shop earlier this year after years of selling ski apparel back home (believe it or not.) Her love of all things winter is apparent in the store’s wares; clothing labels, including Cigno Nero Italian leather jackets and Esencia alpaca knitwear from Peru and Nepal, sit alongside quirky homewares, gifts and works by local artists. Promising even more options come summer, this is a one-stop shop for all things style in the south.
